Schedule Details

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Arrive at Cairo International Airport and meet the supplier’s representative.

Receive arrival assistance and transfer privately to Piccolo Mondo Boutique Hotel or the confirmed alternative. Check in and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Optional experiences may be arranged according to the arrival time:

Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Great Sphinx, Memphis and Saqqara

After breakfast, meet the Egyptologist guide and depart by private air-conditioned vehicle.

Visit the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramids and Great Sphinx. Standard site admission is included, while entry inside a pyramid is additional.

Continue to ancient Memphis, followed by the Saqqara necropolis and the Step Pyramid of Djoser. Giza, Memphis and Saqqara are components of the UNESCO-listed Memphis and its Necropolis property.

Return to the hotel after sightseeing.

Day 3: Cairo to Luxor — East and West Banks

Leave the hotel at approximately 04:00 and transfer to Cairo Airport for the domestic flight to Luxor.

Meet the local Egyptologist guide after arrival and begin with Luxor Temple and the Karnak complex on the East Bank.

Enjoy lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant.

Cross to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Tutankhamun’s tomb requires a separate ticket.

Karnak, Luxor Temple and the West Bank necropolis form part of Ancient Thebes with its Necropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage property.

Transfer to Luxor Airport for the return flight to Cairo. Meet the driver on arrival and return to the hotel.

Begin in Historic Cairo with the Mosque of Amr ibn al-As. Continue to Salah al-Din Square to visit the 14th-century Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hasan and its 19th-century neighbour, Al-Rifa’i Mosque.

Continue to Old Cairo for visits to:

  • Abu Serga Church
  • Hanging Church
  • Ben Ezra Synagogue

The area reflects Cairo’s Islamic, Christian and Jewish heritage and forms part of the wider Historic Cairo heritage landscape.

Transfer to Cairo International Airport after the programme.
